Improving Your Quality of Life
We care for patients with conditions that affect the quality of their life. We are sensitive to the fact that this area of the body and symptoms may be difficult to talk about and embarrassing. We encourage you to share your concerns and symptoms, because there is no reason for your problems to go untreated. Our compassionate and dedicated staff work hard to minimize anxiety and obtain the best medical outcome for you.
Working Together For You
We take a collaborative approach and partner with other physicians involved in your care. Their areas of expertise may include family practice (primary care), gastroenterology, gynecology, internal medicine, oncology, urology and urogynecology.
When You Are Ready to Make an Appointment
We advise you to contact the physician that you have discussed your current symptoms with and determine if a visit to our facility might offer a solution. We are a testing facility and require an order from a referring physicians office. Please contact your physician to coordinate a visit to our facility.
If you are not working with a referring provider, please call our office to set up a consultation with one of our colon and rectal surgeons to discuss if a visit to the Pelvic Floor Center® is right for you. You can reach us at 651-225-7800.
Before Your Appointment
You will receive a packet in the mail that will include medical history forms that you will need to fill out and bring with you to your appointment as well as any necessary testing preparation instructions.
What to Expect at Your Visit
Our experienced and compassionate nursing staff will guide you through your scheduled testing. They will begin your visit by sitting with you and gathering a very thorough personal health history. Your testing may be in multiple exam rooms, depending on what your physician has ordered for you. Your nurse will ensure that you are navigated through each test and brought to the appropriate room. You will be explained in detail before each test what the test is, what it will show, and what it will feel like. If at anytime during the testing you have questions or concerns we encourage our patients to inform the staff, we will stop, listen and explain in greater detail if necessary. Our goal is to ensure a positive patient experience by supplying our patients with adequate information on the testing that they are undergoing. The number of tests that have been ordered for you determines the amount of time that you will spend in our facility. At the time of scheduling, our schedulers will inform you of an estimated time that you can expect to be at our center.
Your Treatment Plan
After listening carefully to your medical history and reviewing your medical records and test results, we will build a personal treatment plan for you. We will then recommend possible medical or surgical intervention based on careful evaluation and experience.
